Feena: This has been such an interesting conversation to have, because for me, I've always thought that botting is something that I'd never do; that it's bad, and I've never really thought about why people would do it, and also all the work that would go into making bots in first place. Miqo looks interesting, and not much more for me that MMOMinion, and they don't seem to have a bunch of paid extras. It seems straightforward and them being active on these forums as they update stuff is a bonus to me. I'd be interested to hear what people think of it, early looking seems positive. Though I am curious if the bot allows for me to just say "go level in this area until I tell you to stop"? It calls out gathering and the senario lines, but honestly I enjoy the senario quests, I'm just looking to alleviate the grinding a bit. Tim: They have a lot of, I think it's Sentinel, that's basically running on your machine and doing detection. And those things are looking to try and tell when memory is being altered by something outside of the process. Then they're also just looking for names of processes being run. And it gets kind of scary for how the anti-botting and the anti-cheating software in general and how intrusive it is, to seeing what is running on your machine, because really they're looking at everything and they're looking at a lot. So I can tell you specifically, if you are ever running, or if you're playing the game League of Legends, right, very big popular game. If you happen to be playing League of Legends, and then you go through and open, like as another process, a cheat engine, which is just another memory reading application, League of Legends will immediately shut itself down. Like you can be in the middle of the game. It will just close the entire application. Feena: Are you still friends with XMortem to this day? Did you met anyone else who was also doing this? Did you guys become friends?

Tim: It's an ongoing battle, right? How can people bypass it? And then how can companies try and detect it? And to be honest, with Square Enix, they don't really try. Pretty much as long as you are not doing something that is directly affecting other players or is just absolutely, like, obvious. Tim: My littlest one just turned four and she is a handful. And then my oldest is six. And he is a handful. I had 3 accounts and lost them all to bans. LOL! (I have 10 WoW accounts that I have botted with HonorBuddy for at least two years without a single ban)

Download our MinionApp - Launcher, Installer, Store and Updater in one single Application:

Launch Interval: Set the time the MinionApp waits inbetween starting multiple games/bots. If you have a slow computer, increase this time. Tim: There are profiles out there that will do the main storyline for you. It'll do all of the main storyline questing and it'll do all the quests. The only manual integration you have to do with it is when it has to do Dungeons. You have to do the dungeon yourself, when it gets into it. But for the rest of it, it will automate 95% of it. Like maybe there's a few quests here and there where you have to step in and do something. But for the majority of it, all of the questing in the game is completely automatable through the botting.

Tim: For Reborn Buddy, everything is done through memory injection. The bot is actually reading the memory on your computer, and then they figured out where they can go and actually inject different values into the memory that then make the application think that you pressed a button on your computer. And that is like the high level of how the Reborn Buddy stuff works. You know the drill, and also the main sub would 100000% not be ok with me posting this interview lol, so here we are. Also, if you guys can let me know if you'd prefer me to leave the transcript in the post, or just leave a link that'll be great.Feena: ...or like any person who looks important in the hopes that someone would respond to me. And someone actually did reply. If you want to start the game manually and not let minionapp start it for you, you have to attach the bot afterwards yourself:

Feena: So what language do Final Fantasy XIV bots run on? Is it C#? Is it Java? Is it JavaScript? Is it Lua? Feena: What I didn't know until I started looking into the story was the amount of discord servers that exist for botting in Final Fantasy XIV.If you don't fill out this section, you will have an “Attach”-Button instead of a Start-Button, to manually start the Game and attach the bot manually. Tim: I actually like the way Square Enix handles it, because they basically say if you're not directly affecting somebody else or if you're not being extremely obvious about it, then they don't necessarily see it as harming the community, is kind of how I feel that they think about it. I don't necessarily think it is as big of a deal in Final Fantasy, because I also feel like Square Enix , instead of putting all of that effort into anti cheat or anti botting, they put that effort into the game. Into the content for the game. If you compare it to World of Warcraft, for example. World of Warcraft launched an expansion in November of last year, and their first major content patch isn't releasing until another week or so from now, on June 29th.

Tim: Really, you can pretty much do anything. I mean, if you can write the code for it, then it can execute it. As far as limits go, there's performance limits, like you're programmatically writing something, so it's going to follow the behavior that you have coded always, right. So it has limitations as far as being able to react to things on the fly. And there's limitations, but it's not impossible either. It's just a matter of you have to program for all of that. So when you're doing a DPS rotation, so if I'm going to write a rotation for, let's say a Machinist, right? The Machinist rotation is fairly static. You're doing the entire thing and it's doing the same thing. And really, the only kind of changes are, like when you're going to pop your cooldowns to line up with your groups, or when you're going to hold your cooldowns because you're fighting a boss, and you know that that boss is about to go into an invuln stage, or it's about to pop into one of the FMV or something else, so you don't want to pop a two minute cooldown that's going to be wasted because you're going into a cutscene for it. Feena: Tim admitted that he's been using more of MMOMinions tooling than Reborn Buddy’s tooling for a while now. Feena: These bots, in turn, would have a lot of third party developers who created extra add-ons and forks, each doing their own specific thing, like crafting Feena: Can you explain to us how Reborn Buddy works? Like how is it doing all these things to the game? They seem to have decent DoH / DoL support behind one paid addon (don't remember the price), with everything else being open source. There are 3 end-game profiles you get from one of the best ACR developers for WHM, DRK, and WAR. These can be use for rank 1. Tim: Some abilities or boss abilities, the telegraphs are actually not sent down to the client and they're kept up on Square Enix’s servers and things like that, there's nothing anyone can do. We don't have access to it. But if the telegraph is being pushed down to the end user’s client, then there's a pretty good chance that we can be able to figure out that code and then do the math to figure out the right cones and whatnot to show that telegraph of what it's going to do and where it's going to be. What does Minion come with baseline? It's been annoyingly hard to find information like this online. With just the subscription is it capable of 1-80 classes / professions? If not what kind of extra costs can I expect to achieve something like this?
