They’re pigmented, and buttery and apply beautifully onto the lid without the need for wetting your brush! I was really eager to try out my Huda Topaz Obsessions eyeshadow palette when I got it in Autumn, as a couple of years ago my friends Molly, Lora and Sophie purchased me a Huda Obsessions palette for my birthday – knowing it had been a formula that I had wanted to try for a while. I then placed the 7 below the lashes applying quite heavily, anything that was left on the brush I then took through the outer corner, but I kept it quite soft. If I used more of the orangey shade in the top left hand corner the eye look came out a bit brighter but it was still only a slight variation. For a subtle defining line like the one in this tutorial, lightly drag the brush tip across the base of your lash line from the inner to the outer corner, running the brush as close to the lash roots as possible.

I LOVE the shimmer shades, and I will probably reach for this a lot when I’m looking for shimmery shades in that super warm copper tone. I love the shades you get with this theme, and I think you can create a lot of nice warm toned, neutral looks with it. As another reviewer Claire rightly suggested this is an eyes before base palette and works best on top of a base that has some grip. Together, these two products will deliver a polished finish with stunning color that lasts from day to night.

Overall, I do enjoy the Huda Topaz Obsessions palette a lot more than the Mauve one, it’s a lot easier to blend out and work with and is a great warm tone neutral palette for travel. We’re completely besotted with the range of hues and textures and you're guaranteed to fall head-over-heels too – especially with the beautifully versatile range of gold, burnished bronze, bold brick and rich amber. Oily skin can be a challenge, but with the right approach, it can become a canvas for a radiant and healthy complexion. However, like I mentioned above, the colors lean more sultry on my medium skintone as there is no light shimmer, so just keep that in mind if you’re hoping to use this as an everyday palette. Even though the dark brown can’t be packed to full opacity, the diffused effect it gives works well with the rest of the colors in the palette and makes blending a breeze. Blend the shadows seamlessly together, using darker shades in the crease, and lighter hues along the brow bone and inner corners of the eye. I will definitely reach for this palette again whenever I feel the need for copper or a quick office look, but I might pair it with another palette for a different look.

but the Huda Topaz Obsessions is their more warm toned neutral, edging on the side of orange – but definitely not an orange palette like the Colourpop Orange You Glad.

NUDE Medium: Huda’s favorite, this versatile palette is a rich mix of spicy tones combining chestnuts and deep browns.
