About this deal

This caddy is another great option for cubicles where you can't hammer in any nails. The main pole is adjustable and reinforced with long-lasting, protective aluminium. Plus, it has rubber feet that grip tightly to both the base and ceiling of your shower. Is it just us or does this shower caddy look almost Art Deco in design? We think this totally makes up for the fact that it only has one section! It can be casually hooked over the top of your shower door to store your soapy essentials and beauty products. A wall-mounted caddy will stay securely in place and can be attached at the right height for you. Screw-in shower baskets are more likely to stay put once fixed, but the downside is that they're time consuming to install in the first place- you may even need to get someone else to help you attach the product to the wall.

All of the shower caddies we’ve recommended are made from rust-resistant materials. Resistant is the key word here though, as any item subjected to prolonged periods of time under a stream of water may succumb to some damage eventually. Stainless steel is particularly hard-wearing whilst plastic caddies are also a great choice as they are particularly easy to clean. Types of shower caddies Gone are the days of having to drill holes in your bathroom wall to attach your shower caddy securely. There are a number of different ways organisers can be mounted to the wall without causing permanent damage:The shower caddy comes with additional silicone pieces to hold it in place. One reviewer did note that the pieces needed to be ran under hot water prior to attaching to help secure the caddy, but once up it should remain in place. Pros The OXO Good Grips caddy is definitely a much pricier option than other caddies, but this is reflected in its high-end, stylish design, so if you’re after a little bit of luxury in your bathroom it may be worth splashing out. It also comes with the OXO Better Guarantee, meaning if you do have any problems, OXO will issue a repair or replacement.

Whilst most reviewers found the shower caddy remained securely attached to the wall, some did note that it did have a tendency to fall. The caddy won’t work on matte tiles or porous surfaces such as limestone too, so do bear this in mind before purchasing. Pros I have this one which hangs over the shower screen (walk-in shower). It is fab – really, really solid and doesn't move at all.” (Tried and tested by Mumsnet user Boopear) By looking at The ShowerGem you can immediately see that it's a complete overhaul on the rusty metal, dreadful shower caddies that we're all used to. The ShowerGem looks sleek, modern & stylish and it has an accessible place for everything that you could need in a shower such as shampoos, razors & more but that's just the start. Founder Sean Mc Garry says the real beauty of this shower organiser is the magical glue which makes it so easy to install.

5. Most sturdy shower caddy: simplehuman 1.5m-2.4m Tension Shower Caddy

Whilst most users loved that it attached securely and easily to the wall, some did feel that the price was rather high for the quality of the plastic used. Pros

The ShowerGem caddy uses a strong adhesive to attach it to the wall. The clever angled shelf design holds large bottles up to a litre in size and because it's tilted, it makes it easier to get those last few drops of product from the bottles, meaning less waste. Another common type of caddy is a tall tension pole with shelves placed intermittently along its length. These can usually be adjusted so they'll fit perfectly between the floor and ceiling of your shower. Belen is an interior designer (residential and retail design), having worked for top retail brands including Estee Lauder, Seasalt and John Lewis, as well as working with private clients on residential projects and RoomLab, an online interior design platform. The shower caddy is built around a pole which can be extended to fit from the base of your shower to the ceiling and its grippy rubber feet mean it will stay in place without the need for any adhesive or suction cups.Nothing will give you a better sense of whether something is worth buying than an honest, unbiased review from a real parent.
